Prescribed Burn in the Bighorn National Forest

The Bighorn National Forest, Powder Ranger District fire managers are conducting prescribed burns today. They are burning off Forest Service Road 436 in the southwest corner of the forest in Washakie County. They plan to burn about 250 acres of sagebrush to improve Wildlife habitat and range forage.

Smoke may be visible but there are no closures of roads or trails. For more on the project call 684-7806.
