Sheridan residents had a chance to meet and talk with the two finalists for the Sheridan city administrator's position in a reception Tuesday night at Sheridan College.

The two, Mark Collins and Tony Tolstedt, will be interviewed in an executive meeting at City Hall today. Both men are familiar with Sheridan. Tolstead said he's from Sheridan.

Collins is familiar with Sheridan from visits here.

Collins said he's traveled back to Sheridan several times, and he knows there's a very high quality of life here. Sheridan Mayor John Heath said the executive session will start at 8 a.m. today.

Several of the city council members attended the reception Tuesday, among them Jesus Rios, who compared hiring a city administrator to constructing city infrastructure.

Rios said the council had two fine candidates to interview, and he's excited.
