Ramaco to File Initial Public Offering

Posted in

Ramaco LLC, a coal mining company that has reserves in Wyoming, is preparing the industry’s first initial public offering in more than a year according to the Wall Street Journal. Known as an IPO, the initial public offering is the first time that the stock of a private company will be offered to the public in over a year.

According to sources close to the matter, they are looking to list their shares early next year even though the company’s mines show no history of producing coal under Ramaco ownership. If they do, it will be the first IPO in about 18 months.
