Ranchester Set to Celebrate its Centennial

Ranchester will celebrate 100 years since its inception as a town this Saturday with events going on all day along Highway 14 East.

A pancake breakfast will start things off that morning at Cowboy State Bank, a parade will stretch from town hall to the Buckhorn Store along Highway 14, and that night there will even be a chance to catch some late-summer fireworks.

Samantha Nixon, on the Ranchester City Council, tells us about a raffle that will get one lucky attendee involved with the fireworks show.

Kids activities will be available all day long. A living history put on by area children, and other centennial-themed events will take place on Saturday. For more information on the event, check out our community calendar through the news tab at the top of this page, or call the Ranchester Town Hall.

The town of Ranchester is home to 855 people about 15 miles from Sheridan and eight miles south of the Montana border.
