-Recent Compliance Checks 'A Big Accomplishment'

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder, during his report to the city council this week, said recent alcohol compliance checks by his officers yielded only one sale to a minor, which he called a “great accomplishment” compared to when they began doing the checks just a few years ago.

On Sunday, December 18th, officers performed 16 compliance checks at establishments in both the city and county, with the Good To Go Store at the Highway 16 East/Interstate 90 interchange in the county the only one that sold alcohol to the minor.

Chief Carder said the TIPS training and the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming has made a difference in educating servers and retail workers on alcohol and tobacco compliance.

The following locations were checked:

Good To Go – sale.
DJ's Liquor, China Garden, Moose Lodge, City Liquor, Clear Creek Cantina, Outback Lounge, Century Club, Wahoo Likkers, Crazy Woman Liquor, Maverik, Pizza Hut, Cowboy Saloon, Bozeman Trail Steakhouse, Hampton Inn & Suites, ans Buffalo Golf Club – no sale.
