The Sarpy Hills complex of fires still stands at 82,000 acres and 65 percent containment.
The most recent report from the National Incident Management Team said most of yesterday was spent rehabbing the fireline, which held despite wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour. The team said the wind proved useful in testing the firelines. Once the situation is stable, the team intends to hand command of the firefighting efforts back to local agencies.
Also yesterday, Crow Agency initial attack forces found and immediately suppressed two small fires on the reservation.
