School District 3 Budget in Line with Year Past

Sheridan County School District 3's budget for the year that started on July 1 is about the same as for last year – about $3.85 million, according to District 3 Superintendent Charles Auzqui.

Auzqui said the school district is basically maintaining this fiscal year. The district gave raises and step and lane increases to staff last year and this year covered the increase in insurance costs for staff.

He said the school district received a 50,000 external cost adjustment from the state this year, but the budget is fairly conservative.

District 3, which operates schools in the Arvada and Clearmont area, is one of the smallest school districts in Wyoming, with an expected enrollment of 88 to 90 students when the fall semester starts.
