Biteman Nominated for Senate Seat

Republican Bo Biteman will square off against Democrat Hollis Hackman in November to represent Sheridan County in the District 21 seat in Wyoming's state senate.

The seat was held in the past by Senator Bruce Burns, who announced earlier this year that he would not seek re-election.

Republican voters gave Biteman more than 2,600 votes in Tuesday's primary elections.

Biteman, who opted to run for the state senate seat rather than seek re-election to Wyoming's House of Representatives, defeated Dave Clarendon and Dustin Looper in Sheridan to win the Republican nomination.

Hackman, who's a resident of Sheridan, ran unopposed on the Democratic ballot.
