The Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee spent all of last week meeting in Cheyenne to discuss among other things, the State’s supplemental budget.

State Senator Bruce Burns of Sheridan is a member of the Appropriations Committee and says state agencies may be facing even more cuts to their budgets in the next couple of years.

Burns said that there are a number of issues that will factor into balancing the budget with less revenue from the mineral industry.

Burns said taxing sales on the Internet is a big ticket item, as it is estimated to generate upwards of $60 million annually for the State. Legislators will convene for the General Session in Cheyenne January 10.
