The renovation of the new senior center thrift store building in downtown Sheridan is nearly complete.

The furnishings like shelving, jewelry cases and hanging racks will be moved over next week in preparation for next month’s opening. Senior Center Director Carmen Rideout gave us the update and told us how they came up with the name for the store – Green Boomerang.

The opening date is set for Monday, Feb. 8. The store will occupy the location formerly leased by Dan’s Western Wear due to the purchase of the building, specifically for the store, by Phoenix Limited Partnership. The new location is in the 200 block of Main Street.
