Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Hosts 2018 Awards of Excellence

At the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon for February, the Chamber issued six Excellence Awards to involved community members and hard-working local businesses alike.

The Spirit of Sheridan Award, which honors a business or individual who volunteers countless hours for the benefit of the Sheridan community, was received by Amy Albrecht. The Key Service Award honors local nonprofits that have had a significant positive impact, and was received by the Advocacy and Resource Center. The next award to be received was the Strength of Sheridan Award, which honors a business or organization that has established a tenure within the community of over 20 years. The recipient of this award was Whitney Benefits, Inc. The Small Business Award went to Landon’s Greenhouse & Nursery, and the Large Business Award went to Kennon Products. Lastly, the Business Person of the Year Award was received by Jessica Garrelts.

Dixie Johnson, CEO of the Chamber, described the kinds of businesses that are nominated.
