Sheridan County’s Unemployment Rate Among Lowest in State

According to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Research and Planning Senior Economist David Bullard, unemployment rates in Sheridan County rank among the lowest in the state. In fact, compared to last October the rate for this October has only increased by .1%.

Albany County has the lowest rate in the state at 2.8% and Campbell and Natrona Counties have the highest at 6.3%. Bullard gave some incite as to why Sheridan County has been able to keep a steady rate.

The unemployment rates for October were at 4.9% nationwide and 4.6% in Wyoming putting Sheridan County well below both of those averages.
