Sheridan County School District #1 Teacher of the Year

Sheridan County School District #1 has named Tongue River Elementary School Behavioral Specialist Laurel Main as their Teacher of the Year. Main has been with the district for 8 years in a variety of different special education positions. She was selected as Teacher of the Year by a panel of her peers and superintendent Marty Kobza has recommended Main for the Wyoming Teacher of the Year Award.

Main earned her masters in educational leadership and her BA in K-8 elementary education from Rocky Mountain College. She also earned her K-12 special education endorsement from Black Hills State University. During her time with SCSD1, Main has been the special education teacher at Tongue River High and for K-5 at TRE, and taught fourth grade.
