A 22-year-old Sheridan man was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court Tuesday for two felony charges. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Jaryll Redfox pleaded “not guilty” to the charges of felony Burglary and felony Interference With a Peace Officer. According to Court documents, Redfox was arrested on Christmas night for breaking into the garage of a home on Hillcrest Drive and allegedly stealing two boxed wines from the refrigerator that was in the garage. While officers with the Sheridan Police Department searched the area for the suspect, they received a report requesting the removal of a subject at a mobile home at 1511 Mydland Road in Sheridan. Upon arrival to the home, officers located Redfox, who had wine stains on his lips and pants and was highly intoxicated and combative with law enforcement. At least one officer received minor injuries while Redfox was being apprehended and placed under arrest.

District Court Judge John Fenn did not set a date for trial or pretrial conference, as he recused himself from further court proceedings and said that the case will be assigned to another judge in the near future. If convicted, Redfox faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $20,000.
