Sheridan area children visited with Santa Claus and received Christmas stockings stuffed with goodies during a Christmas party at the Kalif Shrine on West Loucks Street in Sheridan Saturday morning.

Also included on the program were balloon animals made by Kalif Klowns and a free lunch of hot dogs, chips and soft drinks for children and their parents.

Spokeswoman Jeannette Smith said the party has been an annual event hosted by the Shriners for many, many years.

Also on hand was Mrs. Claus, who introduced the children to Santa, and a photographer who took photos of the children as they sat with Santa. The day promised to be another success, with more than 200 children attending before 11 a.m. The party continued until 2 p.m.
