Two site selectors from a company based in Arizona visited Sheridan College late Wednesday morning as part of a two-day visit to Sheridan hosted by Forward Sheridan.

Adam Wasserman, managing partner of GLD Partners, and Lois Yates, who leads GLD Partners' economic development and aviation practice, toured L&H Industries earlier Wednesday, then went to the college where Marketing Director Wendy Smith started their visit in the Whitney building atrium.

Dr. Susan Bigelow, vice president of external relations and economic development, conducted the group to the college's Technical Center where instruction includes welding, diesel and machine-tooling. Bigelow said the Technical Center is scheduled for renovation and expansion. She said designs are complete, and the project was funded by the Legislature last year.

Sheridan Mayor-elect Roger Miller accompanied the tour Wednesday, joining Forward Sheridan CEO Jay Stender and representatives of the Wyoming Business Council and the Economic Development Administration. Sheridan Media had a chance to interview Miller. He said he thought the site selectors' visit was great for Sheridan.

Sheridan College's machine-tool instructor Randy Whyte provided a tour of the Technical Center, and those on the tour had a chance to visit one-on-one with Whyte and students.
