The Sheridan city planning commission approved the final plat Monday night of the Skyview West Subdivision, a replat of just under 7 acres on the northeast corner of Big Horn Avenue and Brundage Lane.

The replat, which now goes to the city council for final consideration, replats the land from two tracts into 21 lots, three outlots and one tract, zoned R-3 Residence District.

Jeff Feck, with Morrison Maierle, provided more information on the proposed development in an interview with Sheridan Media after the meeting.

He said his company's part in the project has been the plat and, now, to complete drawings for the public infrastructure, which is the streets, water, sewer and storm drainage. He said depending on how a couple of the lots get built on, the development could accommodate as many as 27 families.

The vote by the six-member planning commission was unanimous and goes to the city council as a recommendation that the final plat be approved.
