Statewide Voter Turnout Approximately 71%, Sheridan County Not Far Behind

The Wyoming Secretary of State's Office released some preliminary information regarding statewide voter turnout Wednesday. State Election Director Peggy Nighswonger says that the unofficial numbers are a bit lower than in previous elections.

Nighswonger said that while the voter turnout may be lower for this year's election, it is still significantly higher than the turnout that surrounding states experienced. The unofficial voter turnout for Sheridan County was almost 70%, as of the over 15,000 registered voters in the County, there were 10,766 ballots cast.
