The submission deadline is approaching for the fall edition of “The Batch”, a biannual literary/arts magazine that is intended to highlight the work of teenage writers and artists in Sheridan County. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The idea for the creative journal known as The Batch came about several years ago from Publisher/Founder Chase McFadden. He says that last spring his idea came to fruition thanks in part to the generosity of others.

McFadden said that the first edition that came out this past summer has been very well received, and that people can pick up a copy at Sheridan Stationary in downtown Sheridan.

McFadden said that they are currently taking submissions for the fall edition. He said the deadline for Sheridan County youth between the ages of 13 and 19 to submit their art is the end of the month.

McFadden said the fall edition will be published in early December and that the artist’s work will be featured in January at the SAGE Community Art Center in downtown Sheridan. Submission information is available through the link provided below.
