Trial Set for Billings Man Who’s Charged With Distributing Meth in Sheridan

A trial date has been set for a Billings man who’s charged with distributing methamphetamine in Sheridan.

At an arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court of Sheridan County this week, District Court Judge John Fenn set a two-day jury trial for February 27 and 28 for 24-year-old Austin Burroughs of Billings, who’s charged with Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, and Possession of Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Methamphetamine.

The alleged crimes occurred on or about August 15 of this year. Judge Fenn continued the $50,000 cash bond and set a pre-trial conference date of February 2 at 9:30 am. Each charge carries with it a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
