The City of Buffalo has two new police officers after they took their Oaths of Office at the city council meeting Tuesday night.

Officers Randel Brown and Kevin Valentine were sworn before the council, the public and friends and family by Municipal Judge Mary Hupy.

Police Chief Jason Carder said that officers Brown and Valentine have been with the department for a little over a month and are currently undergoing field training.
In January they will head to the Police academy in Douglas for a 16-week course before they come back to Buffalo to finish their training.

The Buffalo Police Department now has 13 officers on staff, including Chief Carder and Officers Brown and Valentine.
