UW Funding Requests

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees recently voted to have school administrators make a second funding request to the Joint Appropriations Committee for an increase in the university's block grant.

The Board’s decision comes just days before the upcoming Legislative Budget Session that will begin on February 10 in Cheyenne. While a guest on our news talk show Public Pulse this week, UW Spokesman Chad Baldwin said that the Board made the decision to seek a $9 million block grant increase.

UW Trustee John McKinley is on record for saying that the university would be unable to provide the programming needed for the Science Initiative building if there is no substantial increase to the university’s block grant.
