UW Releases Statement on Supreme Court Weapons Regulation Ruling

The Wyoming Supreme Court has remanded the case challenging the University of Wyoming’s Policy on Dangerous Weapons back to Albany County District Court. In response, the lone 4-year institution released a statement according to UW Vice President for Communications and Marketing Chad Baldwin.

This lawsuit stems from an incident that happened at the 2018 Wyoming State Republican Party Convention where an attending delegate was cited by UW Police for openly carrying a firearm at the UW Conference Center. The delegate contends that the University violated state statute that prohibits gun regulations.
