UW Students Will Spend Spring Break Volunteering

As part of the Alternative Break program, students with the University of Wyoming will spend their spring break working on projects ranging from assisting homeless youth in San Francisco to conservation efforts in Trinidad. According to a news release from the University of Wyoming, several of those students are from northeast Wyoming, as Alex Blare and Kourtney Puckett of Sheridan will volunteer in San Francisco and Trinidad, Alexandra Velasquez of Buffalo will spend time in San Francisco and Cody Friedlan of Gillette will be stationed in New Orleans during spring break.

The Alternative Break program is intended to give students the opportunity to help resolve local and global issues through direct service and education. The students will be volunteering at various locations throughout the country and the world March 14 through the 22nd.
