Vehicle Fire Reported

Law enforcement and fire trucks from two departments responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Coffeen Avenue south of Sheridan Monday afternoon.

Sheriff's Sgt. Clint Salyard said there were no injuries, but there appears to have been severe damage to the interior and exterior of the vehicle, a truck with a snow plow attached.

Salyard said the incident occurred about 1 p.m. Monday at a residence. He said the driver of the vehicle was plowing snow when he noticed flames coming from the vehicle. Salyard said the driver tried to extinguish the flames but couldn't, and then called law enforcement and the fire department. Salyard said both Sheridan Fire and Rescue and Goose Valley responded to the call.

Salyard said firefighters were on the scene about half an hour to 45 minutes to extinguish the fire. He said there are no indications as to the cause of the blaze.
