War Voices By Val Burgess Receives Grant

Posted in

War Voices is performed by local historian Val Burgess. The nonprofit raises funds to conduct and share research on Prisoners of War from mainly the WWII era. Burgess said that they recently applied for and received grant money.

Burgess said that most high schoolers do not learn about WWII until late in the semester because it takes so long for them to get to that point in history. That is why they aimed for presentations in the later parts of the halfs. Burgess also said that she will present at the State Museum.

She explained that her program is presented through the eyes of the POW’s.
