The 33rd Annual Buffalo Lions Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby came to a close Monday after what appears to be another fun and successful run, at least according to Buffalo Lions Club President Adam Teeten, who spoke to Sheridan Media Monday afternoon as the derby was starting to wind down.

Along with the tagged fish ranging in value from $100 to $3,000 each, and the contest winners' prizes, there were prizes and cash given out for the largest fish by weight and length in numerous species that can be caught in the lake, as well as the game fish Grand Prize for the largest overall game fish, a Remington Model 700 30-06 rifle. The overall grand prize is a 2016 Kymco 450 side-by-side

We will have the list of winners from this weekend's Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby when they become available this week.
