Pat Tomsovic is proud of the costume room that now occupies the third floor of Sheridan's WYO Theater.
She said as the WYO got funds for the most recent renovations, costume racks could be purchased so costumes could be brought from the Civic Theater Guild and organized.
The costume room was one of several areas of the WYO opened to the public for tours Thursday night during the WYO's 30th Birthday Bash.
WYO staff and volunteers wore costumes to welcome visitors to the lobby, dance studio, the Green Room, the Tandem Rehearsal Hall and other areas. Erin Butler, who's the theater's executive director, explained.
Butler said the goal was to celebrate the people who helped make the WYO successful and great as well as showcase the theater itself.
Butler said in November 1989, the team known then as Save the WYO held what they called “Welcome WYO Week” to introduce the newly renovated WYO stage and renovated and updated WYO facade to the community.
