Yellowstone’s September Visitation Increases

Posted in

Yellowstone National Park hosted over 724,000 visitors in September this year, an approximately 13% increase from the same month last year. Overall to date, the parks visits are down by .3% year to date with a total of 3,860,694 visitors so far. Even with the slight drop, 2018’s visitation numbers are 19% higher than they were in 2013.

Each year from 2013-2016 the park saw an increase in visitors through the month of September. In 2017 and 2018 the trends have been slipping down, but not in a significant amount. Park officials point to the steady numbers as another good reason to plan your Yellowstone adventures well ahead of time.
