Barbara Ann Fauth, 67, of Ranchester passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Barbara was born on July 24, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA, to parents Anthony and Eunice (Bailey) Buechel.

She married Frank Joseph Fauth in1966 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Plucked from her life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Barb moved west to Wyoming in 1978. Following her husband, who fell in love with the state for its hunting. Barb packed up her young family and traveled to a place far away from all she knew, a place she had never been to. She arrived in a blizzard with two young kids at the tiny Sheridan airport, wondering where she had landed. She soon adapted and made a new life in Wyoming and soon had many new friends, whom over time, became her new family.

She lived a full life, even after challenged with the struggles of multiple sclerosis and then with breast cancer. She loved flowers, birds, family, friends, religion and most of all the Big Horn mountains. She was kind and friendly to everyone. She was the sweetest person alive. She will be sorely missed by all, and the world will be a little dimmer without her shining light. She had a very hard and challenging life and perhaps that is what made her a true pioneer woman. If anyone deserves to be in the highest place in heaven, she surely qualifies and should be promoted straight to the order of angel.

Go in peace and love and be finally free. She died at home comfortably with the help of family, many friends and volunteers. Thank you to all - it truly takes a village and Ranchester is that village.

Barb enjoyed knitting, sewing, fishing, camping with the kids, arrow head hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the UTU Auxiliary and St. Edmond’s Catholic Church.

Barb was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, her mother, children; Jeff (Tina) Fauth of Hometown, WA and Danelle (Tom) Sherman of Sheridan, WY, siblings; Ginny (Chuck) Monper of Pittsburgh, PA, Vincent Buechel of McDonalds, PA and Brian Buechel of CA.. Along with four grandchildren; Zoe, Devlin, Milton and Olivia.

Services for Barbara will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 12, 2011, at St. Edmund’s Church in Ranchester, WY with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. A reception will be held at the Ranchester Community Center immediately following the service.
