Funeral services for Robert Weaver, 58 year old Buffalo resident, who passed away Saturday at his home in Buffalo will be held Saturday, July 21, at 10 am from Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastors Dave and Chris Limmer officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday. There will be a private family interment at a later date. Robert Dean Weaver was born on October 6, 1959 to Jerold and Bobetta Weaver in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He grew up and received his education in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1978. After high school Bob went to work for Moriarty Welding & Fab. He was married to Tanya Myers and they had one son Robert Dean Jr. who was born in 1981. They later divorced. Bob worked various welding jobs in and around Buffalo, but ultimately worked for Moriarty Welding & Fab until that shop sold. In 1989, Bob met Sandy Long and they were married on October 23, 1994 in Elko, NV and made their home in Buffalo. Together they established Big Horn Welding and operated the business until the time he was diagnosed with Leukemia in March 2016.

Bob was a past member of the Johnson County Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed being in the mountains, camping, fishing and riding four-wheelers.

He is survived by his wife Sandy of Buffalo; two sons, Robert Myers and his wife Gwen and Nathan Long all of Buffalo; one daughter, Vanessa Long of Ranchester; two brothers, Stacy Weaver of Gurnsey, Wy and James Weaver and his wife Nikki of Baker, Montana; three sisters, Kodi Williams and her husband Bart of Cody, Wy; Amanda Weaver of Nebraska and Tori Weaver of Buffalo; his father Jerry Weaver of Buffalo; nine grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
