Funeral services for Bonnie Turk, 81 year old lifetime Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at her home in Buffalo Wednesday morning, will be held Friday February 12, at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with her brother Jack Finley officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Mrs. Turk’s memory may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Bonnie Lee Turk was born on May 8, 1934 in Buffalo to Clark and Geraldine Finley. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1952. She was married on May 10, 1952 in Buffalo to Howard Turk and they made their home in Buffalo. They lived in North Carolina for a short time while Howard was in the Army and returned to Buffalo in 1954 where Bonnie worked at various jobs and raised her family. Bonnie worked for many years as a Bookkeeper for the family business, Howard’s Electric as well as the Coast to Coast and later Ace Hardware. She owned and operated her own ceramics shop for years from her home as well as a Bible Book Store. Bonnie loved the Big Horn Mountains and spending summers at their mountain home with Howard.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard Turk; three sons, Mike Turk and his wife Kandy, Larry Turk and his wife Roxi and Kent Turk and his wife Patty all of Buffalo; one daughter-in-law Corrina Turk also of Buffalo; one brother Jack Finley and his wife Lorna of Elizabethton, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Don, Dave and Jim Finley and one son David Turk.
