Funeral services for Chuck Manchester, 79 year old Buffalo man who passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon at the Johnson County Medical Center in Buffalo, will be held Thursday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:20 a.m. Burial will be in the Rosebud County Cemetery in Forsythe, Montana on Friday October 25th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Umfleet officiating. Donations in Mr. Manchester’s memory may be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, Wyoming .

Charles Wiley Manchester was born on October 27, 1933 in Gage, Montana. He grew up and went to school in Montana and in September of 1953 he joined the U.S. Army and served for 8 years, receiving an honorable discharge in 1961. Chuck worked in the coal mines of Montana for many years. He was married on October 18, 1968 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Marilyn Cartwright and they made their home in Forsyth, Montana. In 1989 they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming. Marilyn passed away in December of 1991 and Chuck continued living in Buffalo until the time of his death.

He is survived by a step-daughter Kelly Handley and her husband Sam of Billings, Montana, seven step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, a step-daughter, Linda and step-son, Gregg.
