Funeral services for David Turk, 59 year old Buffalo native who passed away quietly Tuesday morning at his home in Buffalo following a long illness, will be held Saturday, February 16th at 2:00 p.m. from the Grace Fellowship Church in Buffalo with Reverend Eli Dowell officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the David Turk Memorial to help the family with final expenses.
David Howard Turk was born on February 25, 1953 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Howard and Bonnie Turk. He grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1971. After high school David worked as a plumber and as a long haul truck driver for many years. He was married on January 21st, 1985 in Casper, Wyoming to Corinna Morgan and they made their home in Las Vegas. They moved around the United States following work in both plumbing and truck driving. Ill health forced him to retire and they moved back to Buffalo in 2006 where they continued to live until the time of his death.
David was an accomplished wood carver and enjoyed tying flies, fishing, camping, shooting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Corinna Turk of Buffalo; six daughters, Michelle Buckingham and her husband Brian of Moses Lake, Washington, Hiesen Birmingham and her husband Jeff of Reno, Nevada, Heather Turk of Las Vegas, Nevada, Elizebeth Morgan of Buffalo, NaShira Morrison and her husband Todd of Port Orchard, Washington and Bianca Turk of Buffalo; three brothers, Mike Turk and his wife Kandy, Larry Turk and his wife Roxy and Kent Turk and his wife Patty all of Buffalo, his parents Howard and Bonnie Turk of Buffalo and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
