Dolores June (Glawe) Wollenzien, 78, of Sheridan, WY died Thursday, March 14, 2013, in Westview Health Care Center, Sheridan.

Dolores was born May 9, 1935, in Frazee, MN to Walter C. & Margaret (MacKenzie) Glawe.

Dolores attended a one room school in Hobart Township, northern Ottertail County, as the only one in her class for all eight grades. Four older siblings also attended the school. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1952 and enrolled in the St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Fargo, ND. After graduating in 1955, she worked in hospitals in Long Beach, CA, Minneapolis, MN and Great Falls, MT where she met Tom Wollenzien in 1958. They were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vergas, MN in 1959. Tom’s job took them to a half a dozen states before they settled in Sheridan in 1970. Dolores was an excellent tole painter and teacher and also involved with fiber arts such as quilting and knitting. She enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, skiing and was active in choir and circle at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Dolores is survived by her husband Tom of 54 years and two children; Linda (Ken) Brock of Littleton, CO and Paul (Annie) of Sheridan; four grandchildren Margaret and Kathrine in CO and Paige and Ben in Sheridan.

Memorial service will be 11:00am on Tuesday (Mar.19th) from Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Phil Wold officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Memorials may benefit the Hospital Auxiliary or Trinity Lutheran Church.
