Funeral services will be announced and held this summer for Jean Kimble, 85 year old Sheridan woman who passed away quietly at the Sheridan Manor Rest Home in Sheridan, will be held by her family. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the donor's choice in care of the Adams Funeral at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, who are in charge of all arrangements.

Jean Condit Kimble was born on August 1, 1926 in Sheridan to Walter and Ethel Williams Hawkey. Her family homesteaded on Piney Creek near Ucross, Wyoming in the late 1870's. Jean attended elementary school in rural stone school houses in the Ucross area and she graduated from Clearmont High School. She was married in 1944 to Clifford Kimble and they made their home in Sheridan where they celebrated 67 years of marriage. Jean was employed by State Farm Insurance for 20 years before her retirement in 1986.

Jean was active in Girl Scouts, Akcita Win, Cattlewomen, The Piney Women's Club, Ft. Phil Kearney, Youth Inccorporated, and The Bozeman Trail. She was a Western History buff and enjoyed sports and spending time with her family and friends.

She is sruvived by her husband Cliff Kimble of Sheridan; one daughter Cheryl Reeves; one son Kim Kimble; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cliffta; one sister Kathleen Hawkey; one brother Leon Hawkey; a granddaughter Amy Reeves and one grandson Nathan Reeves
