Funeral services for Lance Moore, 60 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday following a lengthy illness, will be held Saturday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Clay Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Friday from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with the VFW and American Legion in charge of military graveside rites. Donations in Lance’s memories may be made to the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com
Lance Leon Moore was born on June 26, 1955 in Billings, Montana to Francis and Dorothy Eileen Moore. He attended schools in Billings and graduated from West High School with the class of 1975. After high school he joined the U.S. Army where he served three years and was stationed in Hawaii. After an honorable discharge he returned to Billings where he worked in a meat packing plant. He moved into Veteran’s facilities in the 1990’s and had been a resident of the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming for the past ten years. He was a resident of the Veteran’s Home at the time of his death.
Lance loved to Cook, go to garage sales and helped his father collect old radios. As a young boy he loved hunting and fishing with his father. He was an accomplished artist and drew Outsider Art and abstracts. Lance was very reserved but had a great sense of humor and will be missed greatly by his family. He loved the Lord and was very spiritual.
He is survived by his mother, Eileen Bandle of Las Vegas and formerly of Billings, Montana; one sister Libby Fortney and her husband John of Las Vegas and two nephews Ercell and Asa Fortney also of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
