Private services for Lois Ellinwood, 85 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Monday, April 18th at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held by her family and friends. Donations in Mrs. Ellinwood’s memory may be made to the Amie Holt Care Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Lois Mae Ellinwood was born on January 12, 1931 in Rochester, Pennsylvania to Charles and Jean Reich. She grew up and went to school in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School with the class of 1948. After high school Lois worked for Westinghouse Corporation where she met Dick Ellinwood. Dick and Lois were married in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on February 1, 1951 and they made their home in Beaver Falls where she was a homemaker. They divorced in 1978 after 27 years and in October of 1982 she met Bill Cleary and in 1985 Lois and Bill moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where they retired and enjoyed snowmobiling, boating on the lake and swimming in the Buffalo outdoor pool. Bill passed away in 2001 and Lois continued living in Buffalo, the beautiful little town she fell in love with over 30 years earlier and where she lived until her death.
Lois is survived by two daughters, Rikki Karczewski and Terri Ellinwood; one son Mark Ellinwood all of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her very close friend Carl Butler of Buffalo, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents and her close friend and companion Bill Cleary.
