A family and friends interment for Mike Stahel, 77 year old Banner resident who passed away quietly at his home in Banner late Tuesday evening, will be held Sunday, October 5th at 2:00 p.m. at his home at 101 First Street in Ten Sleep, Wyoming. Michael Arnold Stahel was born on April 22, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Arnold and Ernee Stahel. He grew up and went to school in St. Paul and graduated from Concordia High School also in St. Paul. He joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Navy Corpsman with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was stationed in San Diego and served two tours in Vietnam and went to the Bay of Pigs. Mike retired after 21 years in the military where he received a B.S. in Nuclear Medicine. Mike opened several dental labs in Minnesota and in 1992 moved to Wyoming where he also owned and operated dental labs. Mike worked his labs until ill health forced him to quit.
He was a Life Member of the VFW and the Marine Corps League. He was a member of Anchor Lodge #7 AF and AM and the Kalif Shrine. Mike enjoyed his work, fishing, golf, riding motorcycles and flying his airplane.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Banner; four sons, Arnold Stahel, Timothy Stahel, Bret Regis and Christopher Regis; two daughters, Kelly Jensen and Diana Regis; one sister, Rebecca Collodora; fourteen grandchildren and three great–grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Patrick Stahel.
