Private family services for Wanda James, 73 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Saturday, April 16th at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held by her family in Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Wanda’s memory may be made to the Wyoming Cancer Resources Services or the Suzie Lawrence Hospice in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Wanda Ruth James was born on April 1, 1943 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Vance and Ruth James. She grew up and received her education in Kaycee, Wyoming and graduated from Kaycee High School. She was married in Las Vegas, Nevada to Stafford Bax and they had two daughters, Terri and Kathie. Wanda spent most of her life in Nevada with a few years in Arizona. She moved back to Wyoming in 2014 to be closer to her daughter and her family. Wanda worked at DJ’s Grocery until ill health forced her to retire. She loved walks with her beloved dog Ollie along Clear Creek.
She is survived by one daughter Terri Brock and her husband Russ of Kaycee; six grandchildren, Bryce, Barnett and Bailey Brock, Chase Harriet, Jessica Forcade and Anthony Wenke; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John James of Surprise, Arizona; one aunt, Nora Miller of Stillwater, Oklahoma and several cousins, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter Katherine Wenke, one brother Thomas James, and one nephew, Tom James.
