BIG HORN RAMS - The Big Horn Rams made it to the 2-A Title game in 2008, as they look to return to that form this fall. Tonight, the Rams open the regular season against Greybull; the game will be played at Homer Scott Stadium. The Rams beat the Buffaloes twice last season, including a win in the first round on the play-offs. The Buffs are a much improved team this season, and the Rams expect a good battle tonight. Head coach Bert Dow talks about the keys to a Rams victory. The First Federal Savings Bank Pre-game Show starts at 6:45, with the kick-off at 7 o'clock, live on our sister station 95.9 FM.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs look to rebound tomorrow in Cheyenne from last week's loss to Casper Kelly Walsh. Head coach Don Julian says they found some problems on film and hope to correct them tomorrow at Cheyenne East. You can hear the game live on AM 1410 KWYO. We start with the First Federal Pre-game Show at 5:30 and the kick at 6 o'clock.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles have changed venues for their home opener tomorrow; the new field is not ready to go at the high school, so the Eagles will face off with Hulett tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Tongue River Junior High in Ranchester.

NFL - In other football action, the Denver Broncos will play their final pre-season game against Arizona tonight. We will broadcast the game live on KWYO; broadcast time is set for 6 o'clock.

UW - The Wyoming Cowboys open the 2009 season with first year head coach Dave Christensen Saturday afternoon against Weber State. The game will be on KWYO; pregame begins at noon.

HS VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles volleyball team will be in action tonight after a successful beginning to the season this past weekend. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more. The Sheridan Lady Broncs and the Big Horn Lady Rams will both play at the Gillette Invitational Tournament as wel. Action begins tomorrow in the Razor City.

SHS SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers head to Laramie tomorrow for a dual meet with the Plainsmen. Head coach Larry White says they are coming off a good opening weekend of competition. As the Lady Broncs get into their first week of two-a-day practices,, White says the team has taken well to .the new schedule.

HS CROSS COUNTRY / GOLF - The Sheridan High School cross-county teams run at an Invitational in Spearfish, South Dakota today, and the Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers open a tournament in Worland this afternoon. The Tongue River and Big Horn golfers play at an Invitational in Wright starting tomorrow..

SHS TENNIS - The Bronc tennis team travels for matches in Scottsbluff, Nebraska Saturday; the Lady Broncs have the weekend off.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies got an 8th Inning, 2-run single from newly acquired Jason Giambi which broke a 2-2 tie. They went on to to beat the Mets 5-2 last night. The Rocks maintain a 2-game lead over San Francisco in the wild card chase. They close out their series with the Mets this afternoon.
