Bison Drop Close Game to Powell

The Buffalo Bison football team fell to 1-1 on the season as they dropped their home opener to the Powell Panthers 20-17.
Powell opened scoring in the first quarter scoring on their opening drive but missed the PAT for a 6-0 lead.
Buffalo took their next possession and scored on a 60-yard pass from Collin Rodriguez to Aaron Fenner to take a 7-6 lead.
The Bison added a field goal in the second quarter to take a 10-6 lead into the half.
In the third quarter, Buffalo fumbled deep in their own territory and Powell scored to take a 13-10 lead.
Dylan Marton scored on a two-yard run to give Buffalo a 17-13 lead at the end of three.
The Panthers scored again midway through the fourth quarter to take 20-17 lead and held on for the win.
Rodriguez was 2 for 10 passing for 60 yards, Fenner had two receptions for 60 yards. Marton rushed 12 times for 46 yards, Tyler Rogers rushed 14 times for 81 yards and Fenner also rushed 9 times for 91 yards.
Defensively the Bison were led by Jarod Chesbro with 17.5 defensive points and Kalob Rodriguez with 17 defensive points.
The Bison will travel to take on Green River this Friday.
The Kaycee Buckaroos defeated Farson on the road Friday 66-16.
