Bison Girls Fourth At State, Spring Sports Begin This Week

The Buffalo Lady Bison girls are the Consolation Champions in the Class 3A Girls State Tournament, which happened this past weekend in Casper.

The girls opened their tournament Thursday with a tough 64-32 loss at the hands of eventual State Champion Star Valley and fell to the Consolation bracket.

Friday the girls bounced back by downing Powell 38-26 in a loser-out game, setting up the girls with a matchup with Lander for the fourth-place spot at State.

Saturday the Lady Bison beat Lander 69-65 to take the Consolation Championship.

In the Girls' 3A State Tournament, first place went to Star Valley; second place went to Douglas; third place to Rawlins and fourth to the Buffalo Lady Bison.

Winter sports seasons are now complete and spring sports will get into full swing this week.
