Bronc Hoops Stay Unbeaten / Lady Broncs Drop Home Opener / Cowgirls win / Cowboys on the Road / Broncos at Raiders Monday Night

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams played Buffalo Thursday night the Lady Broncs fell to 0-5 on the season taking a 45-35 loss in their home opener.

The Broncs pulled away from Buffalo in the 2nd half and posted a 69-51 victory over the Bison.

The Broncs led by 10 and halftime but the Bison hung around until the Broncs went on a 9-0 run in the 4th quarter to put the game away and now stand at 5-0, Tristan Bower scored as game high 24 for the Broncs with Parker Christensen and Sam Lecholat chipping in 12 each.

After the game Head coach Jeff Martini said after a slow start they got it going in the 2nd half.

The Broncs are unbeaten as we enter the the Christmas break and Martini has been pleased with what the Broncs have done the last three weeks.

And now it's time for a break to get ready from the main stretch of the season that starts the first weekend in January.

Both the Broncs and Lady Broncs are now off until January 3rd when they open up a three day tournament in Cheyenne.

POWDER RIVER CLASSIC HOOP TOURNAMENT - The Big Horn basketball teams open play in the the Powder River tournament hosted by Moorcroft and Sundance. They play two games today the opponents are the Thunder Basin JV's and Glenrock.

The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles play Moorcroft and Kaycee today.

The Arvada/ Clearmont Panthers and Lady Panthers play the Thunder JV's and Sundance.

The NSI boys play Wright and Moorcroft today.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams get back into action in January the Lady Generals on the 5th and the Generals on the 9th.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys are on the road this weekend this evening they play East Tennessee state in the Sun Bowl tournament in El Paso we will have it live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM broadcast time is at 4:30 with kickoff at 5:00.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls play at home last night and beat South Dakota state 77-70 the Cowgirls are off until league play begins in January and have a 7-2 overall record.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers host the Border War duals today with Thunder Basin, and the Casper schools joining the Broncs to take on Billings Skyview, West and Senior along with Colstrip Montana.

Both gyms at Sheridan high school will be used with matches getting underway at 11:00.

The Tongue River Eagles are on their holiday break and will get back into action January 4th at the Douglas invitational.

HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks are 10-0 and get back on the ice at home this weekend they host games tonight and tomorrow with Jackson.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play their next game at the Oakland Raiders Monday night kickoff is at 6:15 live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.
