Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops open in a week / Pokes take down Pioneers / Cowgirls at UM tomorrow night

BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams are two days into their season we sat down with Broncs Head coach Gale Smith Tuesday, first Smith likes the new shorter preseason.

The Broncs missed out on the state tournament last spring and Smith says he has a good returning group of players that are hungry to make it to Casper in March.

Smith says the eight teams that make it to the state tournament will have to earn their way as he expects 4-A basketball to be tougher than ever this season.

The Broncs will open at a three day tournament in Riverton a week from tomorrow and Smith says he likes the way the schedule is set up early in the season.

LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Lady Broncs will join the Broncs for games in Riverton next week and we will broadcast all six games live.

WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers open their season next weekend at a tournament in Rapid City.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will open their season next week with two days of competition in Gillette.

HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey season starts this weekend, they open at home with Pinedale Saturday night at 8:45 and Sunday morning at 10:30.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Denver University Tuesday night 68-42. The Pokes are 7-0 and will play their first road game of the season Friday night at SMU then back at home Sunday to face Regis University.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls play on the road at the University of Montana tomorrow night Cowgirl pregame at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 on KWYO.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play at home Sunday afternoon against Buffalo kickoff will be at 2:05 on KWYO.
