Bronc Wrestlers looking for big things in 2015 / Hawks hockey season opens Friday / Pokes basketball tonight

BRONC WRESTLING - The high school winter sports season started Monday with the opening of practice for basketball, wrestling and Bronc swimming.

Today we hear from Sheridan Bronc wrestling coach Tyson Shatto as the Broncs took to the mat for the first time yesterday, first the issue of dealing with losing a week of practice before the first tournament.

And with a short time before the opener the issue of weight and weight certification comes into play early in the season as well.

Finally today, the Broncs are coming off a third place finish at the state tournament last year and Tyson says expectations are high heading into this new season. The Broncs open the season on the 12th at a tournament in Rapid City.

HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey season starts this weekend when they open at home with Pinedale Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night at 8:45 they will also play Sunday morning at 10:30.

We've heard from Head coach Zane Garstad the last couple of days and today comes the announcement that the Sheridan ice rink will be enclosed for next season, construction is to begin this spring.

it not only helps out our local ice programs but also for hockey spectators who will not have to bare the cold conditions of watching outdoors.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys play at home tonight against Denver University broadcast time will be at 6:30 with tip off at 7:00 on 14-10 KWYO.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls play on the road at the University of Montana Thursday night Cowgirl pregame at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 on KWYO.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play at home Sunday afternoon against Buffalo kickoff will be at 2:05 on KWYO.
