Broncos secure AFC #1 SEED / Local sports scene fires back up this week

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will play games at home Thursday against Malstrom Air Force base from Montana. They will be at home on Saturday against Casper college.

Game times Thursday will be at 3:00 and 5:00 pm and Saturday's games with Casper will also be at 3 and 5 and will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams are off until nest Thursday when they head to Riverton for three games against Casper Kelly Walsh, Riverton and Evanston.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams open 2014 next Friday hosting games with Wright.

TR BASKETBALL - - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles open the new year Saturday with road games at Riverside high school.

WRESTLING - The Bronc Wrestlers host a dual with Riverton Friday then host the first annual Border War duals with the three big Billings schools on Saturday.

The Broncs, Riverton and Casper Kelly Walsh will dual Billings Senior, West and Skyview.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers open the new year at an invitational at Kelly Walsh high school next Saturday.
INDOOR RACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan indoor track season gets underway with the first day of practice a week from today

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys play Western state Colorado on New year's day at home then open league play Saturday at Nevada.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls open MWC play at home against Nevada Saturday.

WYOMING FOOTBALL - Wyoming Quarterback Brett Smith announced over the weekend he will enter the April NFL draft ending his college career at UW.

DENVER BRONCOS - The Denver Broncos blew out Oakland to end their regular season yesterday building a 31-0 lead at halftime.

Peyton Manning only played in the first half and threw four more touchdowns adding to his NFL single season record at 55 for the year he also set a new league mark by throwing for 5.477 yards.

The Broncos have the home field advantage through out the playoffs and are off this week.

Peyton Manning says they had a great regular season fighting through a lot of adversity. And Manning said they were happy to get the home field advantage and are looking ahead to the playoffs.
