Cowboys Advance to the "CBI" Finals / Doubleday Sports Update / American Legion Baseball Meets Tonight

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Utah Valley in the semi finals of the CBI tournament last night 71-68 they will now play Coastal Carolina in a best of three championship series that will begin in South Carolina Monday night the Cowboys will host game two next week on Wednesday and an if necessary game would be played Friday March 31st.

SHS SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams will play in Buffalo tomorrow night the conference schedule begins next week with matches against Laramie and Cheyenne South.

SHS TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams will compete at an invitational in Cody Saturday.

DOUBLEDAY SPORTS COMPLEX - The Doubleday park sports complex open houses continued Wednesday night and tonight the third in the series of events will take place tonight at 6:00 in the Sheridan college Whitney academic center.

Morrison-Maierle engineering of Sheridan is holding the events and has done the preliminary design of what the new complex might look like.

Randy Bomar heads up the office in Sheridan and says this project is all inclusive to benefit all kinds of groups in Sheridan county and all age groups moving into the future.

Tonight they finish up the open house series with the entities that have come together to make the sports complex a reality.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian is a member of the Doubleday board and says over the coming months they will be formulating their plan for fund raising and bringing that to the general public.

TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold it's annual player / parent meeting tonight at 6:00 at the new Memorial hospital office building on Gould street.

The Troopers will hold their first outdoor practice at Thorne-Rider stadium April 3rd they open the season April 15th with a double header in Billings the home opener is scheduled for May 7th.
