Cowboys Fall to BYU in the Poinsettia Bowl / Cowgirls Upset 15th Ranked CU / Bronc Wrestlers Host a Dual With Buffalo Tonight

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys lost 24-21 to BYU in last night's Poinsettia Bowl steady rain caused issues for both teams, the Cowboys were hurt by two dropped snaps on special teams in the first half that really cost them.

BYU took a 24-7 lead in the 4th quarter but the Pokes roared back to score two touchdowns to get the game close they end this 2016 season with a record of 8-6.

After the game Head coach Craig Bowl talk about a positive experience for his young team at the Poinsettia bowl.

The wet weather especially in the first half was the big issue for both teams but Bohl said they made the adjustments at halftime and made a great run at the Cougars in the 4th quarter.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - With the Poinsettia Bowl going on last night lost in the shuffle was the Wyoming Cowgirls road game at 15th ranked Colorado the Cowgirls picked up a great road win knocking off CU 82-75 in Boulder.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys will open play at a two day event in Las Vegas tonight against DePaul University pregame will be at 6:00 tip off at 6:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers will get back into action tonight with a home dual with Buffalo varsity matches are scheduled to get underway at 6:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams are scheduled to play in the Energy classic tournament over in Gillette starting Wednesday the Lady Broncs will open with Bishop Gorman from the Las Vegas and the Broncs open with another Las Vegas team Clark high school.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play a road game Christmas night game at Kansas City kickoff will be at 6:30 live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.
