WYO RODEO - The 81st Sheridan WYO opened with the first of four performances last night hear are the event leaders after day one.

In the rough stock events in the Bareback riding the top score last night came from Cody Demers from Kimberly, Idaho with an 83.

Tyrell Smith from Great Falls Montana leads the Bronc riding with a score of 81 and in the Bull riding Corey Navarre from Weatherford, Oklahoma leads with a score last night of 83.

In the timed events last night in Calf roping the fast time was Chris Demases with a 9.1 run, the first go was won by Houston Hutto and the second go was won by Timber Moore.

In the Team roping last night the team of Colby Lovell and Bobby Harris had the fast time of 5.9 the first go leaders were JoJo LeMond and Marty Becker.

In Steer wrestling last night JD Fudikar had the fast time of 4.9 seconds while the first go leader was Mickey Gee 4.0.

In the 4th go of Steer roping the fast time last night came from Tim Abbott with a run of 14.7.

And in the Barrel race last night the fast time came from Kelly Allen with an 18.53 the overall leader is Cassie Moseley with a run at 17.63.

The second performance of the WYO rodeo gets underway again tonight at 7:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played two in Gillette last night, the Roughriders treated the Troops pretty rough as they swept the troops by scores of 12-2 and 18-4.

Saturday the Troopers will host a home run derby and alumni game the Trooper booster club would like to welcome all fans to come out for the afternoon.

The derby for kids will start at 10:30 and for the adults at noon the Alumi game will be at 1:00.

Your last chance to see the Troopers play at home this year will be Sunday when they host Sturgis, South Dakota.

Head coach Ben Phillips says they fell confident heading into the post season next week.

BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan Bronc football coaches will be hosting their annual youth football camp next week Monday through Wednesday at Homer Scott stadium.

The camp will run from 5-6 pm each day the camp is for all youth up to the 8th grade.

They will take registration Monday starting at 4:30 before the camp opens the cost is ten dollars per camper and each camper gets a Bronc t-shirt.

ELKS "ONE CLUB" GOLF - The Sheridan Elks will be hosting their one club golf tournament at Kendrick golf course next week.

each player selects one club and a putter to play the nine hole event.

The tournament will be next Sunday July 24th at 4:00 pm. It's nine holes and costs 40 dollars per player which includes the golf and cart. to register stop by Kendrick golf course.
